Sally being interviewed by Khadija Zegdi on QUEWS Unscripted about confidence, communication and presentation skills.

The secret to becoming more confident and memorable. (And reduce your Umms & Errs!)

I was recently interviewed by the lovely Khadija Maaref on QUEWS for her programme Unscripted.

It’s aimed at young entrepreneurs and business owners and they’ve posted it under the title – Why nobody remembers you? The secret to becoming more confident and memorable.

The interview is, as it says on the tin, unscripted!

I didn’t know what I was going to be asked until Khadija asked the question so I definitely had to think on my feet!

I relied on many of the techniques that we cover in our workshops but the one I was most aware of was my breathing … I wanted to minimise the number of UM’s and ERR’s I said.

If you watch the program you’ll notice that I don’t eradicate them completely but, if you watch carefully, you’ll see that at times I don’t answer questions immediately and speak slightly slower that I would normally. It’s at these times that you can see I’m taking a breath and using the pause to help me think.

You can make your own decision by watching it here.

And if you would love the chance to present yourself from the front of the room (or through the screen) but don’t think you can … then give me a call because if I can, you can!
